Terms & Conditions
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are delighted to welcome your child to Elevate Academy of Dance and thank you for choosing us to be a part of their dance journey. At Elevate, we strive to foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where all dancers can grow in confidence, skill, and passion.
To ensure the smooth operation of our academy and the best possible experience for all students, we kindly ask that you review the following Terms and Conditions regarding your child’s place at the academy.
1. Attendance & Commitment
Regular attendance is essential for consistent progress and class cohesion. If your child is unable to attend a class, please inform us in advance via text message, email or phone. Prolonged unexplained absences may affect participation in performances or events.
2. Uniform & Presentation
While a uniform is not compulsory at Elevate Academy of Dance, we do encourage students to wear appropriate dancewear that allows freedom of movement and ensures safety in class. Our official school uniform is optional and available to purchase upon request.
Hair should be neatly styled and secured away from the face for all classes
3. Fees & Payments
Fees are payable according to the block in advance and are non-refundable.
Each month will be structured in 4-week blocks depending on the calendar month.
For new starters, payments will be adjusted accordingly for the remainder of that payment block.
Your child’s place is secured only upon full payment.
4. Notice Period
Withdrawal from the Academy
Should you wish to withdraw your child from the Academy, a minimum of one month's written notice is required. Where the required notice is not provided, fees in lieu of notice will be charged.
Holidays and Planned Absences
If your child will be absent from classes due to a holiday, a minimum of four weeks' written notice must be provided if you wish for us to review and amend any upcoming payments. If less than four weeks' notice is given, the full class fees will remain payable.
Monthly Subscription Payments
For families paying via our monthly subscription, payments are collected on the 1st of each month.
If you wish to cancel your subscription, you must provide at least one full calendar month's written notice to Stacey (Owner). Notice must be received on or before the 1st of the month for the cancellation to take effect at the end of that calendar month.
For example, if notice is given after the 1st of the month, the subscription payment for the following month will still be due before the subscription can be cancelled.
Please note that monthly subscription payments are calculated to spread the cost of tuition evenly across the year. As such, payments remain due regardless of Academy closures, school holidays, or your child's personal holidays or absences. These periods have already been taken into account when calculating the reduced monthly subscription fee.
5. Health & Safety
Please ensure we are informed of any medical conditions or injuries that may affect your child’s participation. Our staff are trained in first aid and your child’s wellbeing is our priority. This will need to be declared on the registration questions and updated if any changes occur.
6. Code of Conduct
We expect all students to show respect to staff, fellow dancers, and the studio environment. Bullying, inappropriate language, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
7. Photography & Media
We may take photographs or videos during classes and performances for promotional purposes. If you do not consent to your child being included, once again please notify us of this on the registration questions.
8. Open Freestyle Dance Classes
If your child is interested in beginning their freestyle dance journey with Elevate Academy of Dance, we are excited to support and guide them through this dynamic and creative style.
To ensure they receive the best possible experience and are fully prepared to learn and perform their routines, we recommend starting with 1-to-1 sessions. These personalised sessions allow for focused attention, tailored choreography, and help build confidence before participating in group settings or competitions.
Our team will provide recommendations for suitable 1-to-1 opportunities based on your child’s interest, age, and experience level.
10. Competitive Freestyle Class
If your child attends our freestyle competitive class, it is understood that this is a commitment-based class, and by enrolling, you agree that your child will participate in a minimum of one competition per month.
This class is designed to help students rehearse and refine existing skills and choreography, as well as to build strength, stamina, and performance quality. Please note that routines will not be amended or newly choreographed during this class time.
If your child requires new choreography or personalised routine development, this must be arranged through a 1-to-1 session, where their training can be tailored specifically to their style, level, and goals.
We believe this structure provides dancers with the best possible opportunity to succeed competitively while maintaining a high standard across the team.
We are extremely excited for your child to start their dance journey with us!
